The Postgraduate Program in Media and Fashion Journalism (DCMODOL) has been created in response to professional and employment perspectives arising from the fashion world in its various facets of communication.

Fashion is a system with specific functions which should be known: prêt-à-porter, superstores, haute couture, sportswear and streetwear are some of its circuits, with their own characteristics, regarding both concepts and operations.

In addition, fashion and communication are closely linked. On the one hand, dressing is an act of non-verbal communication, whereby individuals express their identity and belonging to a group within society. On the other, fashion needs to communicate in order to sell: brand identity, products, advertising, events and sales outlets are some of the outputs provided by a brand which have to reach the public coherently through the media so as to be effective.

The face-to-face Postgraduate Program in Media and Fashion Journalism is already in its seven year, offering students the opportunity to acquire a global perspective, both theoretical and practical, of the sector. The Programme provides suitable training for all those who wish to work professionally in the world of fashion journalism and media.

With the same determination and to reach an audience not resident in Barcelona, now offers the possibility of online courses from anywhere in the world.

  • To develop media discourse consolidating the fashion world, characterised by its spectacular nature and adaptability to all mass media.

  • To teach participants to manage correctly the communication of a fashion brand or medium.
  • To train competent professionals in the field of fashion journalism and communication, capable of competing on a global level.
