Methodology
Class Participation
Class participation is essential for successful acquisition and application of the tools and practices employed by business managers. Although professors transmit course content, it is the participants themselves who truly integrate knowledge through active interaction with each another. Since class size is limited to 25 students, participants have direct and immediate access to their instructors. The UPF MBA Programme faculty strive to accommodate different points of view, and enrich the learning experience by making a concerted effort to nurture individual talents.
Teamwork
Teamwork and the ability to successfully communicate ideas are critical managerial skills. From the onset, MBA full time participants work in small teams, analysing case studies, designing projects and delivering presentations which are reflective in the decision-making and leadership process required by managers.
Case Studies
Theoretical lessons with instructors, together with team work and self-study, ensure that MBA full time participants obtain a solid academic footing. To simulate the reality of problem solving and developing creative solutions required by managers, many instructors in the MBA full time have adopted case studies into their courses. Case study analysis prepares participants to diagnose a business situation, to examine viable options and to deliver consensual solutions through the effective use of persuasive communication skills.
