Admission Procedure

Applying to our MBA is very simple and it can be done almost entirely online. Currently we are accepting applications for the class of September 2008. Our MBA has a rolling admissions policy.
Right from the start, with your very first inquiry about the programme, we strive to give you personal treatment. We are very pleased to answer your questions immediately and guide you through the application steps. To facilitate the application process for participants from all regions, additional documentation can be sent electronically or by fax, although originals must be presented upon enrolment.

Admission to the MBA full time is based on both academic achievement and the commitment to learning how to pursue a successful career in business. Aspects taken into account during the admission process include: the candidate's intellectual abilities, professional potential, maturity, motivation and ability to work as part of a team. We are very flexible when considering what constitutes professional experience. Therefore, one of the criteria we value most in a candidate is his/her potential. We welcome all information that can help us assess these criteria.

Admission Process

The purpose of the admission process is two-fold: firstly to identify the best candidates for the programme, and secondly to determine whether the programme is the best choice for the candidate.

Each candidate is initially assessed by a member of the Admissions Committee. As a result, the candidate can be rejected or considered for admission. This process can start before we receive the second letter of recommendation, the GMAT score and the English language accreditation, but all these documents are necessary before a firm offer can be given.

If the application is accepted, the candidate will have a personal interview with another member of the Admissions Committee. This will be in Barcelona or by telephone. After the interview, the Admissions Committee will make the final assessment of the application.

Applicants will receive notice of the decision on admission within three weeks of the MBA office receiving a full application. All candidates will be notified of the decision by post and electronic mail.

Please consult the Fees and Funding section for details about programme costs and financial opportunities.

Buddy Scheme

This is an informal and optional channel of communication where your buddy - who is a current MBA participant - and you get in contact before and during the first module of the MBA programme to make your introduction to life in Barcelona as smooth as possible.

Objectives

  • To provide you with support and additional information at the beginning of your stay.
  • To help you get in contact straight away with the participants already on the programme.

How it works

Upon enrolment, the MBA admissions officer will put future students in contact with participants already in the programme. As the Buddy Scheme is on an informal basis, we do not set guidelines, but rely on our participants to find out how they can best help each other.
