This program belongs to the Barcelona School of Management, the new business school of Pompeu Fabra University.
The MSc in International Business (MUSIB) trains professionals to work in the demanding competitive environment of the international company.
In order to obtain a complete, integrationist, and harmonious internationalisation of the company, its presence in the world must be based on the existence of branches, representative offices and production plants in different countries. To achieve this aim, companies need employees with training which allows them to adapt to different business cultures and visions.
The master represents a unique opportunity, for graduates from different spheres of knowledge, to obtain specialisation enabling them to orientate their career toward international business. This qualification focuses on knowledge, techniques, skills and critical attitudes to understand and be successful in the current context of the global company.
Offered jointly by Barcelona School of Management and Escola Superior de Comerç Internacional, the objective
of the programme is to provide executive training on international managerial capabilities, whilst fostering the ability to coordinate teams with different
cultural backgrounds, communication and international negotiation skills.

The Msc in International Business (MUSIB) will enable you:
• Interpret current political, economic and social affairs in an international business key.
• Be able to identify, analyse and develop business opportunities in international markets.
• Master tools of analysis to create and implement an International Business Plan and put them into practice in the final project of the MSc.
• Design and carry out the analytical, operating and strategic functions of the international business.
• Develop and implement the commercial, financial, human resources and operations strategies, and know the legal requirements for the internationalisation of the company.
• Promote the management skills necessary for communication and negotiation in a multicultural business environment.
• Obtain relevant work experience in the field of international business on completing the MSc internship.
The syllabus is organised so that the students learn about the processes developed by the different functions of a company (analytical, strategic, commercial, financial, operations and organisational) in the 3 phases of the internationalisation process:
1) Internal diagnosis and analysis of the environment
2) Strategic planning
3) Operational functions of the company
These phases are studied progressively and correspond to the 3 academic terms.
The organisation of the syllabus, parallel to the internationalisation process, allows the students to develop an international business plan over the course as their final MSc project .
In the last term the students participate in the international business mission which enables them to carry out a series of activities, over a one-week trip, to experience the implementation of an international business plan in a foreign country. Visits to international companies and interviews with their managers are organized so that students learn about the organizational structure and resources characteristic to international business operations in the country of destination.
On completing the academic year, the students carry out an internship during which they acquire work experience in the field of international business.
