Master in Taxation

Presentation

This program belongs to the Barcelona School of Management, the new business school of Pompeu Fabra University.

The permanent objective of the Master's in Taxes is to prepare its participants in order that they might take decisions in which tax is one element more to consider.

The master's course is aimed from the outset at providing participants with in-depth knowledge, from a practical perspective, of all the taxes included in our tax system, both in a state and regional and/or local context, as well as the problems arising from their application, without forgetting the essential control of computer tools, necessary for the implementing of different tax obligations, and the increasing importance of international taxes.

In order to achieve this, the master bases itself basically on the solving of actual cases and on the comments from the most recent case-law and doctrine, both administrative and scientific, likewise attempting to transmit the necessary critical capacity to rigorously comment on and discuss any tax reform suggested.

Objectives

  • To provide the necessary knowledge for suitably providing tax advice.
  • To offer a global view of the national and international tax systems, as well as broad knowledge on accountancy and civil and commercial law.
  • To learn to solve problems arising in real economic life.
  • To analyse prevailing legislation, parliamentary regulation bills and amendment proposals arising from our tax system.
