The Postgraduate programme in the In-Depth Analysis of Public Law (DADP) forms part of the training syllabus of the Master's in Public Law.
In this diploma all the most relevant legal-administrative institutions will be studied for consolidating the basic knowledge of Public Law necessary for the development of the other three diplomas, as well as offering an opportunity for re-thinking the law relating to the basic legal statue of the public authorities, administrative procedure, administrative acts, expropriation, administrative sanctions, contracting, civil liability of public authorities and the administrative and jurisdictional review of the activities of the authorities.

Objectives

To train professionals highly qualified in the application of Modern Public Law within the new scenarios of globalisation, technology and permanent change.
To provide the knowledge necessary to face the challenge of managing the new legal-administrative regulations of the territory and of the market.

Programme

The Postgraduate course in the In-Depth Analysis of Public Law: the basic legal institutions of the legal-administrative regulations of the territory and market, and of the territorial organisation of the State in Public Law studies consists of a Master's in Public Law and four postgraduate programmes. The common objective is to train professionals highly qualified in the application of Modern Public Law within the new scenarios of globalisation, technology and permanent change.

Due to this, the programme focuses on two basic concepts for the organisation of modern societies: the territory, as a space where all activities are performed, and the market, as a social institution for the provision of assets and services within a context of competition As a consequence of most recent progress, the market has even become a supplier of goods and services essential to society.

Public Law has assumed the two concepts and has placed them at the centre of the legal-administrative regulations of private activities. The objective of the programme is to provide the knowledge necessary to face the challenge of managing the new legal-administrative regulations of these activities.

These advanced studies of the legal-administrative regulations of the territory and the market are structured into four postgraduate programmes:

  1. Postgraduate course in the In-Depth Analysis of Public Law: the basic legal institutions of the legal-administrative regulations of the territory and market, and of the territorial organisation of the State.
  2. Postgraduate course in Territorial and Town Planning Law.
  3. Postgraduate course in Environmental Law.
  4. Postgraduate course in Networked Public Service Law: provision of water, telecommunications, power and transport.

Potential candidates

The Postgraduate course in the In-Depth Analysis of Public Law: the basic legal institutions of the legal-administrative regulations of the territory and market, and of the territorial organisation of the State is aimed at:

  • graduates in Law wishing to acquire specific knowledge for performing their activity within the specialised fields of legal-administrative regulations in those sectors of social activity in which territory and market are institutional reference points, and
  • professional graduates in other fields interested in acquiring legal training improving the practice of their profession.
