Presentation

The 3rd edition of the Master's in Osteopathy from the Fundació Escola d'Osteopatia de Barcelona (FEOB) is being organised in conjunction with IDEC-Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Twelve years after beginning to offer Osteopathy studies, the Foundation continues working to pass on this fascinating discipline's legacy in the best way possible.

Now, thanks to our collaboration with IDEC-Universitat Pompeu Fabra, we can offer a curriculum that meets the demands of today's society and that is adapted to the directives and methodology proposed in the new European Higher Education Area (EHEA). We believe this is a decisive step in our ongoing efforts to achieve excellence, and that together we can take on this challenge enthusiastically, offering top level osteopathy training that combines the osteopathic tradition's essence and classic concepts with the latest scientific and research advances.

We continue to enjoy the support of the European School of Osteopathy (ESO), a worldwide authority on osteopathy training, which has collaborated with the FEOB since the outset by supervising the curriculum and providing internationally renowned teaching staff.

We invite you to visit our website, www.eobosteopatia.com, which has all the latest information, and to learn about the Foundation, the School and the Clinic in greater detail. You can also sign up for the free introduction to osteopathy workshops that we have prepared for anyone who may be interested.

Moreover, you can visit our headquarters to meet us personally. We would be delighted to see you.

Objectives

The course is taught in accordance with the European School of Osteopathy guidelines and has the following main objectives:

  • Using the standard principles to give students a solid conceptual foundation about osteopathy on which to base any therapy.
  • To offer a complete overview of different ways of working and existing techniques.
  • To place maximum importance on clinical aspects, case studies and practical experience with real patients.
  • To form professional osteopaths with scientific training and sufficient knowledge to be able to identify and treat key health problems, intervene in a safe and effective way and form part of a multidisciplinary team within the health service.

Programme

The Master in Osteopathy (MOST) aims to provide professional osteopaths with scientific training and sufficient knowledge to be able to describe, identify, treat and compare the illnesses that correspond to an osteopath's line of work, by considering the person in three different ways: biologically, psychologically and socially.
