Daniel Sánchez-Crespo
General manager of Novarama Technology, where he has worked on projects for GBA, PC, PSP, Nintendo DS and Xbox360 platforms, and for clients such as UbiSoft,
Cromosoma and Planeta. A qualified computer engineer, for the last seven years he has been combining his professional activities with teaching. He has
delivered sessions on video games in universities in Spain, Portugal, Germany, the Czech Republic, China and New Zealand. Consultant in matters of innovation
for several national and regional governments, and has written four books and around forty articles on video games. He has worked for the Game Developers
Conference, was a member of the Course Reviewing Committee of Siggraph, sub-director of ArtFutura and co-ordinator of IGDA Barcelona.
Josep Blat
He was been collaborating with Pompeu Fabra University since 1998, where he is Professor of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence and director of
the Technology Department. He was director of the Mathematics and Computer Studies Department from 1988 to 1994, and director of the MA SALGA (Image
Synthesis and Computer Animation) and MA IMM (Interactive Multimedia). He has a degree in Mathematics from the Universidad de Valencia (1979), a PhD
(Mathematics) from Heriot-Watt University (Edinburgh) in 1985, and was a post-doctoral researcher at Paris-Dauphine University, where he was subsequently
a visiting lecturer. He is currently director of the Instituto Universitario del Audiovisual (IUA) in Barcelona.
Teaching staff
Joan Abadia
Telecommunications engineer. He presented his end of course degree project at Siggraph'99. For the company Zènit he developed a real-time visualisation
engine for 360º spherical animations and images. He currently combines his time as lecturer in the Technology Department at Pompeu Fabra University with
his post as head of Programming at Novarama Technology, where he develops video games.
Oscar Civit
Computer engineer. He has worked on the development of interactive modelling tools for NURBS superficies and on real-time graphics applied to medicine
and the visualisation of molecules. He is currently doing his doctorate in Computer Studies and Communication Digital at Pompeu Fabra University and
works at the video game company Digital Legends as programmer.
David Darnés
MBA in Management, Marketing and PR from ESERP Barcelona. Diploma in Public Relations and Communication from the Universidad de Barcelona. Currently, he
is director of Projects of the video game company Ubisoft in Spain.
Alberto Díaz
Lecturer in 3D Art and co-ordinator of the Art branch in the Master's in Creation of Video Games at Pompeu Fabra University. After spending several years
in conventional design studios, he went on to create contents for video games at Computerhouse Latina, Spanish division of the Swedish developer Computerhouse.
He has collaborated with businesses such as Ubisoft, Editorial Planeta, Cromosoma etc. He currently works for the video game company Novarama.
