TRANSPORT IN BARCELONA

Metro

Barcelona has two types of interconnected metro:

  1. the normal metro, with five lines, and
  2. the Ferrocarriles de la Generalitat de Cataluña (FGC), with two metropolitan lines and another four to leave the city.

Buses

Despite being slower, buses allows you to take in the city as you travel. Bus routes are indicated at the corresponding stops.

Night buses

Running times: Monday to Sunday, 23.00 to 04.00, every 30 and 45 minutes. All buses make stops in plaza Catalunya.

Taxi

Taxis are black and yellow and indicate that they are free with a green light, to stop one just put out your hand. The taximeter indicates the price to be paid, but there are other authorised charges (e.g. for travel to the airport, for luggage, etc.) The maximum number of passengers is four.
