Online materials for consultation
The Career Services provides users with a number of online materials for consultation at the Career Services link on Campus Global. To access Campus Global, visit www.idec.upf.edu/cg and enter your username and password.
The materials for consultation are the following:
Informative documents
These documents provide users with information on the different resources available and how to access and use them: Campus Treball, 'Fomento' database, lists of useful links and recommendations for the preparation of professional presentation documents.
Useful Links
The Department provides lists of headhunters and websites that can be consulted to investigate the market and/or search for professional opportunities.
The lists are regularly updated. Should any errors or out-of-date information be detected while using these lists, we ask users to please inform the Department and, if possible, send the corrected information to the following email address: departament.carreres@idec.ufp.edu.
Recommendations for preparing CVs and cover letters
The CV and the cover letter are two of the most important tools used for professional presentation .
The recommendations for preparing these materials, accessible via the Campus Global link, are a complement to the training offered at the Department's seminars.
Database
In addition to the databases that can be consulted at the Pompeu Fabra University Library, the Career Services also offers the opportunity to access the 'Fomento' database, one of the most important and complete sources of company information to be found in Spain, as a support for research and networking. This database contains the financial and contact details of more than 30,000 companies operating in Spain.
Access to the database is protected. The Department must be contacted by email to request a date and time for consultation. The database is consulted from the Documentation Centre on the 5th floor of IDEC.
Salary information service
The salary information service responds to specific queries on salaries given for certain positions during 2006 in companies operating in Spain. This service is provided based on the report by PriceWaterhouseCoopers as a support for the job search and for negotiating salary conditions.
To consult this service, a date and time must be requested by email from the department.
