Aula Eixample: Broadening knowledge

IDEC offers all citizens the chance to improve their knowledge of culture and the arts through the Aula Eixample. It takes its name from the Catalan word which describes the Barcelona neighbourhood where it is located, the Eixample, a central shopping and business area in Barcelona. Aula Eixample offers a series of courses in music, literature, history and arts to promote both cultural activities in the institution as well as the interest in knowledge and lifelong learning.

Aula America

A place to meet and hold debates on current affairs in present-day Latin America, this is an open stage for figures from the world of politics, economics and culture, who are invited to present their ideas and projects.

We offer our numerous participants from Latin America and others who are interested in this part of the world the opportunity to get together and debate topics of mutual interest.

Aula Amèrica, which was founded in February, 2005, enjoys the collaboration of the Casa Amèrica Catalunya as well as consulate representatives in Barcelona of Colombia, Costa Rica, Chile, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, The Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela.
