Governing bodies
IDEC is a private, non-profit institution governed by a Board of Trustees, a Governing Council and a Council of Studies. The Board of Trustees is presided over by the Rector of Pompeu Fabra University and it is made up, besides UPF, of an important group of companies and institutions which directly designate the persons who represent them. The Governing Council is the ordinary governing body which proceeds from the Board Trustees. The Council of Studies is made up of people of the UPF and outside UPF with outstanding experience and qualifications in different fields of knowledge. Its function is to advise on and evaluate the academic programme, to ensure that it is suited to the needs of companies and the society as a whole and to promote the ongoing programme of quality and improvement.
